Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have completed their trip to Colombia — but we’re still not over Meghan’s outfits. During a visit to San Basilio de Palenque, she made a basic T-shirt, white linen skirt and flat thong sandals look impossibly chic.
The reason? That elegant minimalism that pilots her entire wardrobe. The effortless comfort she exudes. The message this specific outfit declares: I’m relaxed and confident with what I’m wearing — and with what I’m doing at this moment in my life. That’s exactly what we want for our looks — and for our day-to-day. Not to mention as the end of summer means our last chance to wear all-white ensembles.

The truth is that the outfit couldn’t be simpler, and yet (or precisely because of that), it looks absolutely sophisticated. And curiously, there is room for a trend, although the Duchess of Sussex went for a very classic option: the white tank top, one of the most popular pieces of the moment since Miuccia Prada decided to restore it to its glory. Of course, Meghan went for a loose fit, for that low-key luxe look she’s all about.
Of course, the high-waisted linen skirt with a straight column silhouette contributes to this idea. It’s a fresh and easy to wear piece that we should all have in our wardrobe — just like her flat thong sandals in black, a textbook basic that makes everything it touches elegant. The whole outfit combo is pretty perfect, actually.
