The first ever gay dating show in the UK – I Kissed A Boy – is back, with queer icon Dannii Minogue hosting another search for love on screen.

After the success of both its first season in 2023 and the premiere of its sister show I Kissed A Girl last year, I Kissed A Boy is back for a second instalment of queer romances and we can’t wait.

The BBC confirmed the return of I Kissed A Boy with an exciting statement: “HOT BOY SUMMER IS UPON US! 🔥

“The BBC has officially revealed the 10 contestants competing in the second season of I Kissed a Boy. In 2023, the show made history with its debut as the UK’s first-ever same-sex dating series – and last summer, it was joined by its sapphic counterpart, I Kissed a Girl.

“Aussie pop legend Dannii Minogue is back playing Cupid, with Layton Williams once again on narration duties.”

The broadcaster added: “Get ready for the return of the dating show, where the path to love is never straight. It’s loud, it’s proud… and it all starts with a kiss.”

Here’s what we know so far about I Kissed A Boy season 2.

BBC

What is I Kissed A Boy about?

The premise is this: Our male contestants arrive at an Italian country house called the Masseria and are matched up with another contestant – and the first thing they do is kiss, with their relationship developing from that first encounter.

“I am so excited that I’ll be back in Italy to play Cupid,” Dannii has said. “I can’t wait to meet the next cast when the Masseria doors open… There are so many diverse and important stories yet to tell. And be sure that I’ll have the party started for a wonderful summer of love.”
