The next chapter of Emily In Paris is officially on the horizon. After a classic cliffhanger at the end of season 3, the fourth instalment of the Lily Collins-fronted series is coming in August. Well, the first half of it least. Just like Bridgerton season 3, it’s been split into two parts, just to multiply the intrigue.
But of course, like with so many of our most beloved series, fans are already asking – will we be getting an Emily In Paris season 5?
Well, it’s complicated. Here’s what we know.
Is Emily In Paris season 5 happening?
There was some drama at an amfAR event at Cannes Film Festival when Winnie Harlow and Paris Jackson announced that a walk-on role was for Emily In Paris season 5 was being auctioned off.
The listing read:“From Sex and the City to Emily in Paris, Darren Star brings dreams to life, and he will bring the film dreams to life for one lucky bidder with a walk-on role during season five of Emily in Paris. As part of the walk-on role, the winning bidder will have the opportunity to spend a day on set in Paris during filming sometime after April 2025. To tide you over until then, the winning bidder and a guest are invited to attend the Los Angeles premiere of Emily in Paris season four this August.”
Even though the listing stated that filming was due to begin for the fifth season next year, there’s a little snag: Emily In Paris season 5 hasn’t been greenlit yet. Not publicly, at least.
After this was pointed out, the auction listing was amended to clarify that the winning bidder (who paid out €250,000, BTW) would “have the opportunity to spend a day on set in Paris during filming, contingent upon season five pick-up”.
