The pair met in 2013 on the set of Suite Française, in which Margot played the role of Celine Joseph and Tom worked behind the scenes as the third assistant director.
They first became best friends but began dating the following year. However, that wasn’t before some concern on Margot’s end, as she wasn’t necessarily looking for something serious at the time, and she didn’t want to make things weird between them if he didn’t reciprocate her feelings.
“I was the ultimate single gal. The idea of relationships made me want to vomit,” the Australian actress said in an interview with Vogue. “And then this crept up on me. We were friends for so long.
