If ITV knows one thing, it’s how to do a psychological thriller, and do it well. From Broadchurch to Trigger Point, they always keep us hooked from start to finish. This time it’s Gone, a drama following Michael Polly, a local headmaster who quickly emerges as the prime suspect in his wife Sarah’s sudden disappearance.

Two episodes in and we’ve got a mountain search and a shock arrest, so the plot is well and truly thickening.

Led by a stellar cast including David Morrissey and Eve Myles, this is not one to miss. Gone has quite an unusual weekly schedule, so stay tuned for the full release dates so you don’t miss a single moment — or clue — in this drama.

What is Gone about?

The six-part drama centres on the disappearance of Sarah Polly, a woman whose sudden vanishing sends shockwaves through the quiet, leafy outskirts of Bristol. It isn’t long before suspicion falls on her husband, Michael Polly (David Morrissey), a respected private school headteacher who quickly becomes the key suspect in the investigation.

Leading the case is DS Annie Cassidy (Eve Myles), a perceptive and determined detective who begins to chip away at Michael’s carefully controlled façade as the mystery deepens.

As the investigation unfolds, Michael’s family, colleagues and even his pupils find themselves drawn into the case. As tensions rise, loyalties begin to fracture, and long-held secrets start to surface.
