“I fell in love with Julia’s writing from the very first paragraph,” Horgan has said. “I feel very lucky and incredibly excited for Merman [Horgan’s production company] to bring Vladimir to life… Getting to partner with Netflix and have Rachel attached is a thrill, and a testament to the brilliance of the scripts.”

What is Vladimir about?
IMDB’s synopsis for the series reads: “A woman’s life spirals as she develops an obsession with her alluring coworker. Her determination to make her fantasies real leads to dark, humorous, and complicated situations.”
Netflix has added: “Full of sexy secrets, dark humour, and complex characters, Vladimir is about what happens when a woman is hell-bent on turning her fantasies into reality. Woodall (One Day, Bridget Jones: Mad About The Boy) will play the new colleague.”
We now have further information: “To add insult to injury, her husband, John (Slattery), with whom she has an open marriage, is facing allegations of sexual assault from the college where they’ve both worked for decades. These scrutinised relationships — which took place many years ago and were believed to be consensual — were with college-aged students.”
