This cool girl jewellery brand is the only one I’ll buy from

I was immediately drawn to the simplicity and clean lines of the rings, earrings and necklaces, which are all made of either sterling silver or gold plated. They’re beautiful, timeless pieces that you’ll see on the wrists and necklines of in-the-know editors and Scandinavia’s cool-girl influencers.

And, yes, they’re also investment pieces. All my purchases have been carefully considered and have often marked a special occasion – and rightfully so, as this is very much a slow fashion brand with one eye on responsible production – but the mid-range prices still feel accessible.

The first piece I bought was The Sofie Ring, a chunky trio of interlinked rings I wear on my index finger. It’s the hardest working piece in my jewellery collection, but it’s also my calming talisman – as I find myself thumbing it throughout the day like worry beads.

The Louise – a pair of long, oblong drop earrings swiftly followed – which I like to wear with a black polo neck and straight midi skirt to echo their lines. These are also my go-tos when I need a statement jewellery piece for going out and people always stop to ask me where they’re from.

Since then I’ve also bought The Andrea Earrings in silver. I love the fact that the hoops are droplet-shaped rather than the same width all over. They go with literally everything in my wardrobe and are weighty enough to feel expensive without being cumbersome or yanking on my lobes.

The shape also mirrors The Nanna and The Anna rings, which look great on their own – but even better stacked.

Then there’s the gold-plated The Vera Earrings, which were inspired by antique knot-tie jewellery, and look just as good with a little black dress as they do with a white T-shirt.

And that’s true of all Lié Studio jewellery, by the way – it makes you look effortlessly polished even when your hair’s scooped up in an undone ponytail (speaking of which, the brand has just expanded into hair accessories, including The Molly Hair Clip and The Thea Hair Tie).

As for the next piece I’m thinking of adding to my collection? The Elly Necklace in silver is on my wish list – as it just seems to elevate a black or grey jumper without looking fussy. (FYI, if you’re looking for the perfect everyday earrings, look no further than the The Caroline Earrings from the same drop).

Each piece of Lié Studio jewellery is named after a friend or, as is the case with the Elly necklace, Amalie and Cecilia’s grandmother, which makes them feel somehow welcoming and familiar. Vera, Sophie, Andrea… it’s almost as if they are already firm, treasured friends – and no doubt we’ll create new memories together.
