What is Black Friday?
Black Friday is an annual shopping event which originated in America, taking place the day after Thanksgiving. In recent years it has become a pretty big deal in the UK, with many of our favourite brands offering customers big discounts across their product lines.
Black Friday is perfect excuse to treat yourself to something that’s usually out of your budget, or get ahead on your Christmas shopping and pick up Black Friday gifts for less – for everyone on your list from mum and dad, to your sister, boyfriend / girlfriend, and even grandad.
When is Black Friday?
This year, Black Friday falls on Friday, 24 November. Cyber Monday follows closely on Monday, 27 November. Cyber Monday usually marks the final day of the Lululemon Black Friday sale.
Does Lululemon take part in Black Friday?
Historically, yes. The legendary activewear brand usually knocks up to 50% off selected lines – though last year, they really came through with discounts of up to 67%. You could pick up Wunder Train tights, Groove pants, supportive sports bras and yoga accessories like yoga mats and gym bags for less.
Although Lululemon hasn’t announced its Black Friday 2023 sale just yet, we’d recommend making a wishlist of the pieces you actually need so that you get prepare for the big day (and resist impulse purchases when the sale does come around).
Is there an early Lululemon Black Friday sale which you can shop already?
Not officially (you’ll be the first to know there are), but Lululemon does have a hidden sale section on its site called “We Made Too Much”. As you’d expect, it’s an edit of surplus stock at reduced prices which helps to ensure nothing goes to waste. You can pick up running shoes, running jackets, puffer jackets, gym leggings and gym tops – sometimes with discounts of over £100. No, seriously – I’ve tried and tested countless pairs of gym leggings as part of my job as a Shopping Editor, and Lululemon leggings are the ones I reach for every single time. Stat. They’re so soft, so high-waisted and never fall down mid-squat. They’re also insanely light – armed with my Align Pants, I can barely tell I’m wearing anything at all.
