The Fall of the House of Usher is the latest Netflix show to tick off your spooky season checklist for terrifying scares

The Fall of the House of Usher has gone down a massive treat on Netflix, just in time for Halloween.

In fact, viewers have dubbed the series as one of the best from famed critically acclaimed horror director Mike Flanagan, who has already given us the likes of The Haunting of Hill House, The Haunting of Bly Manor, and Midnight Mass, which introduced us to the likes of our favourite stars such as Victoria Pedretti and Oliver Jackson-Cohen.

And now, in Mike’s latest passion project, he was inspired by the short story of the same name and other works by Edgar Allan Poe to give birth to the series The Fall of the House of Usher. If you have yet to watch it (behind your cushion), the plot of The Fall of the House of Usher focuses on the CEO of a corrupt pharmaceutical company who is forced to face his questionable past when his children start dying in mysterious and brutal ways.

The topics of wealth, privilege, and power are explored in this dark and mysterious eight-part series, which sees the return of some of Flanagan’s favourite actors, including Carla Gugino, Zach Gilford, Henry Thomas, T’Nia Miller, Rahul Kohli and, of course, his wife and talented actress, Kate Siegel.

Others in the line-up include Willa Fitzgerald, Samantha Sloyan, Kyliegh Curran and Mark Hamill.
