Sydney Sweeney’s minidress and sheer tights combo is perfect for in-between weather days

Figuring out what to wear in the final days of winter is always something of a challenge — jumpers or T-shirts? Skirts or jeans? Coats or jackets?? Well, Sydney Sweeney just showed off the perfect outfit formula to get us through those in-between-y weather days.

In her January/ February photo dump on Instagram, Sydney shared a snap of herself wearing a look that we instantly knew we’d be recreating: a navy mini pinafore vest-style dress made of a thick satin material that looked as cosy as it was chic. So far, so warm. However, instead of layering up with thick knits and heavy boots as we might be tempted to do in the peak of winter, Sweeney instead layered with a sheer ribbed long-sleeve top, sheer black tights and black pointed-toe heels. In other words, she perfectly balanced staying warm for winter and daring to lose a layer or two for spring.

This is hardly the first time Sweeney has mastered the art of seasonal dressing. Last autumn, she centred her looks around seasonal boots, wearing a western-inspired denim shirt and over-the-knee cowboy boots and a boho chic ruffle dress paired with over-the-knee boots. In the summer, she got creative wearing a bandana as a crop trop along with a daring no-trousers look.

Aside from her pitch-perfect ‘fits, Sydney Sweeney has never been busier. She is set to star in the third and final season of Euphoria next year. She’s also due to appear in five upcoming films, including Echo Valley, alongside Julianne Moore and Kyle MacLaughlan and The Housemaid, alongside Amanda Seyfried, along with two vastly different biopics that will see her playing Hollywood Golden Age superstar Kim Novak and professional boxer Christy Martin. Clearly, she has plenty of range — both as an actor and a fashion It-girl.
