Kim Kardashian makes like Paris Hilton and accessorises with a tiny dog

This year’s hottest accessory? It’s having a little dog to match your outfit. Just ask Kim Kardashian, who took a page from her former mentor Paris Hilton on August 14, and paired her head-to-toe camel brown look with a matching brown puppy. Say it with me. That’s hot.

And I mean hot both figuratively and literally, because Kardashian was wearing very a fall-coded leather and suede outfit. Kim K paired her brown suede flared pants with a complementary mustard-yellow leather handkerchief top from Miu Miu.

She added a brown suede Birkin bag (naturally), and heeled sandals. But the ensemble would not have been complete without the little brown dog, which looks like it may be her light brown Pomeranian named Sushi, she held tucked under her arm.

This was only one of two looks Kardashian wore in NYC on the 14th. For her Jimmy Fallon appearance to promote her new collaboration with Beats Headphones, she wore a (slightly more weather-appropriate) ensemble. Kardashian’s second outfit included a risqué white dress consisting of a bra top and maxi skirt, with heeled Lucite sandals. She paired both looks with long wavy hair and a white mani.

Kim Kardashian obviously did not invent the concept of accessorising with a little dog. Hilton, of course, become a maverick of this trend with her ever-present Chihuahua named Tinkerbell. But Demi Moore is also a fan of the pet-as-outfit move, often carrying her own Chihuahua named Taco for red-carpet appearances.

I simply did not know that Kardashian was such a dog person.
