Thank you, Team GB. Not just for Tom Daley’s delightful knitting videos, but for this new clip – featuring Kate Middleton, Prince William, and Snoop Dogg.
For some delightful reason, Kensington Palace tapped the 52-year-old American rapper to join the Prince and Princess of Wales, David Beckham, and other famous faces in congratulating Team GB for their performances in the 2024 Olympics. Dressed in a blue and white blazer with a red, white, and blue clover scarf, Snoop Dogg kicked things off with a quick “Greetings, loved ones,” before the video switched over to Will and Kate.
“From all of us watching at home, congratulations to Team GB,” Middleton said in while standing outside next to her husband in a simple white and black striped sweater. Prince William added, “Well done on all you’ve achieved. You’ve been an inspiration to us all.”

The couple appears to have recorded their clip from their summer home in Norfolk, according to royal expert Jane Barr. As many viewers noted, Prince William looked very laid back in a blue Adidas polo and some very casual facial hair.
“William with a tan and a beard!!!!” one fan commented on the post, while many others approved of his “vacation” vibe. One wrote: “Kate looking beautiful & [I’m] here for Will’s stubble.”
“Great to [see] Catherine again, and William unshaved haha,” another user commented. “It’s been years since we’ve seen that, what a sight!”
As you probably know, Kate Middleton has taken a major step back from the public eye as she continues to undergo treatment for cancer. Since announcing her diagnosis in March, the Princess has only made a couple of public appearances, attending Trooping the Colour in June and Wimbledon in July.
While most of the comments centred around Kate Middleton’s presence and Prince William’s “unshaved look,” many were also fixated on Snoop Dogg’s cameo. “Snoop Dogg x Kensington Palace is the crossover we never knew we needed,” one fan commented.
The rapper, who became a fixture of this year’s Olympic Games as a correspondent for NBC News, closed out the royal’s message, telling Team GB athletes, “Thank you, Great Britain. On behalf of big Snoop Dogg, the prince, and his lovely wife.”
