Party season is fast-approaching, and if you’re anything like us – with endless dinners and drinks filling up the calendar and a serious lack of appropriately festive outfits – Mango might just have the answer.
Endlessly popular every winter for their beautiful outerwear, seasonless boots and cosy knits, the high street stalwart is known amongst the fashion crowd for its party season offering. And this year’s might be the brand’s best yet…
Bursting with elevated little black dresses, super sexy slips, feather-trimmed separates and sequinned, well, everything, there are very few occasions this season for which this collection wouldn’t provide all the sartorial answers.
Of course, we wouldn’t be doing our jobs as ‘editors’ if we didn’t give you our pick of the very best, and what’s an edit without a top spot, right?
Stealing our hearts – and, in our humble opinion, the high street’s annual competition for ‘dress of the festive season’ – the hottest one this Christmas has got to be Mango’s black satin dress with rhinestone bra detailing.
Of course, being part of the brand’s collaboration collection with model and content creator Jen Ceballos, the premium piece is priced more highly than you might expect from the high street favourite, but for such a carefully-cut, fashion-forward item that you might otherwise see gracing the rails of your favourite designer boutique four four times the price, news of a £300 price tag might not sting so badly. Maybe?
It’s definitely convinced some, as the brand can barely keep it in stock. But much like the annual battle for Glastonbury tickets, you just need to be hot on that refresh button if you’re keen to snap one up.
If you are sold on adding something super special to your wardrobe this party season – and are in a position to spend a bit more than a typical high street dress without having to actually remortgage your home (as some major fashion brands’ price points seem to encourage) – we’ve picked the collection’s highlights this season.
