It’s rare for a jewellery brand to make a lasting impression in the fashion industry these days, but where Monica Vinader is concerned, it’s a different story.

“I think people can appreciate quality craftsmanship and timeless design,” says Monica Vinader, founder of the eponymous label, when asked what it is that makes the brand so popular. “Our bestsellers are unmistakably Monica Vinader – they’re distinctive, versatile, and made to last. I think it’s this longevity and uniqueness that draws people in. Customers can actually learn all about our ethical makers and suppliers, too, they just have to look for the ‘Trace this Item’ icon on over 100 of our product pages.”
Is Monica Vinader jewellery worth the money?
Absolutely. As popular as brands like Missoma, Mejuri and Astrid & Miyu that reside in your jewellery box, Monica Vinader pieces are also made from 100% recycled gold and sterling silver with ethically-sourced diamonds and gemstones – even the high-quality packaging is fully recyclable. And, if you needed further proof, back in July Her Majesty the Queen Camilla visited the brand’s Norfolk headquarters to present the 2022 Queen’s Award for Enterprise in Sustainable Development.
As for what to buy? Everyone needs a great pair of hoops and the Siren Muse Large Hoops (seen below on the Princess of Wales) are definitely the favourites, according to Monica herself. “Another piece that’s really popular is our Kate Young Gemstone Ring in Black Onyx. It’s a favourite of Selena Gomez and we’ve had to restock it over and over,” she says.

Is Monica Vinader a luxury brand?
Yes, but it won’t necessarily break the bank. “We were one of the original brands to offer affordable luxury by pioneering the use of 18k gold vermeil,” says Monica. To make it, 18k gold is layered on top of solid sterling silver to create a finish that’s five times thicker than average gold plating. “We did this because we really wanted to encourage the idea that you can buy your own luxury jewellery, not wait to be gifted it,” she says. That said, we think a fine jewellery gift from Monica Vinader would make the perfect gift for her, gift for mum, gift for girlfriend and even gift for men or boyfriend this Christmas.
