Heidi Klum wears the mood-boosting autumn trend that is so easy to style

Autumn is officially here, and with it a host of new fashion trends. While muted and minimalist looks tend to be the go-to for the colder seasons, Heidi Klum is making a compelling case to inject some colour into our autumn wardrobe, providing some much needed inspiration on how to nail the styling technique with two recent outfits.

In each of these looks is one common theme: red, which is set to be the biggest colour trend this autumn. Having dominated the 2023/24 autumn/winter catwalks of the likes of Ferragamo, Gucci and Miu Miu.

But off the runways we’re also starting to see the colour more and more, in street style looks of recent Fashion Weeks and all over our social media feeds. And now, Heidi Klum expertly demonstrates how the trend can be worn in two very different ways

Sure, red isn’t the most quiet colour choice. But if loud colours like red are too far out your comfort zone then with the right styling you can tone it down a little, as Heidi Klum effortlessly proves.

On 12 October, the model was spotted in Los Angeles wearing a light blue turtleneck dress with striking red boots and a bag to match. That’s the key if you’re wondering how to get to grips with introducing more colour in your wardrobe: lean into bold accessories.

Not feeling up to combining brights with other brights like Heidi does above with blue and red? That’s ok too, simply introduce red through your accessories for a trendy update without having to commit to other bright colours.

But let’s be honest. It wouldn’t be Heidi Klum if she didn’t also go all in. A day later, the model was photographed in the same red boots, but this time with trousers and a jacket in the same shade.

Choose the same shades like Heidi does here, or opt for a different take on the tone-on-tone look with different variations of red to add more depth. Another welcome benefit of this trend is that it continues the dopamine dressing theme that has been popular for several seasons, with red in particular being a feel good colour that helps boost self confidence.
