Just when we thought the “strawberry girl aesthetic” had peaked, Hailey Bieber gives it a fresh spring upgrade – trading in soft pinks for a juicy berry blush that brings a richer, more grown-up glow to the season’s makeup mood.
Spotted on Instagram, the model shared a carousel of pictures to showcase her very own Rhode Pocket Blush in a ripe raspberry hue swept across her cheeks. Fresh and outdoorsy, the berry-stained shade is perfect for transitional weather – instantly pepping up skin.
“Berry blush seems to be having a moment right now,” confirms legendary makeup artist Zoë Taylor. “It’s a beautiful way to wear an authentic flush. The blue undertones are so fresh and with the right finish, it can suit all complexions,” she continues.
“With blush just exploding over the last few years, I think we are getting a bit bored with our daily pinks and corals,” muses senior director of artistry for Milk Makeup, Sara Wren. “A berry blush shade is the perfect, unexpected tonal shift for spring.”
Ahead, Taylor and Wren share how to recreate Hailey Bieber’s berry blush with top application tips as well as the best products for the job…

How to nail the berry blush look
With so many different blush formats available on shop shelves, it’s easy for everyone to find a berry they like. “For a watercolour, matte stain effect I love using Milk Makeup’s Cooling Water Jelly Tint in Splash,” says Wren. “It’s easy to build and can be worn bold or just swept over the cheeks for a light flush.”
If you’re a berry blush beginner, go for a cream blush. “I really like using a liquid or cream,” says Taylor. “I think you lose the glossiness if you move into powder.” Her go-to cream? “For a natural skin finish, the Violette FR Bisou Blush is heavenly and fresh.”
