Everything our fashion editors wore to London Fashion Week

London Fashion Week was a wet affair but even the gloomy skies couldn’t dampen the mood around the bi-annual showcase celebrating the city’s brightest creative minds.

The weekend kicked off with a stunning show by Harris Reed at the Tate Britain as friend of the house Florence Pugh opened the show with a dramatic monologue. Over the next few days, we zipped from east to west to east again to witness the designers’ latest collections. Richard Quinn sent gown after gorgeous gown down a snowy runway while Erdem collaborated with contemporary artist Kaye Donachie on a collection featuring feminine portraits painted onto ethereal looks. A breakout star—and certainly one to watch—was George Trochopoulos, whose delicately knitted looks belies a talent for craftsmanship that is sure to make him a design star.

Through it all, GLAMOUR’s European fashion editor Londie Ncube and I, GLAMOUR’s fashion editor took the opportunity to dress up in our fashion-week best, but figuring out what to wear while running to nine shows in the rain is not as straightforward as it seems. Comfy footwear is key, as are layers—one of the shows we attended was outside as it drizzled!

So what exactly did we wear during London Fashion Week? Below we break down each of our looks.

Rosie: “The scarf coat has become a fashion mainstay for good reason. This dreamy COS coat kept me warm and the scarf detail made it fashion-forward enough to look put-together at shows. I paired it with some red gloves (after seeing them all over New York Fashion Week), my favourite crystal mesh pointy kitten heels by one of my favourite British brands A.W.A.K.E. Mode and a Radley bag—the snacks and power banks have got to go somewhere!”

Londie: “ I had to put comfort this this fashion week, so I knew I had to pull out some denim pieces. This Haikure skirt has been my go-to this pregnancy because I love the silhouette it creates with a bump. I never shy away from colour (or a crop top) either so it was fun to off-set this double denim look with some playful accents.”
