Dakota Johnson’s bright yellow underwear practically glows under her sheer top and skirt

Taking a break from her black-and-blue Materialists wardrobe, Dakota Johnson steps out in New York City’s SoHo neighbourhood in an entirely sheer outfit over what might actually be a bikini.

The Madame Web star was spotted in a yellow two-piece with a see-through goldenrod skirt and a sheer white blouse over it. An excellent solution to the conundrum of summer dressing, providing protection from the sun without creating additional heat-retaining layers.

The actor accessorised with rimless dark sunglasses and maroon slingback kitten heels. She’s a fan of red footwear, and was recently seen trotting around Rome in patent leather apple red ballet flats with Alessandro Michele, former creative director of Gucci.

The latest ensemble is Gucci, according to Johnson’s stylist Kate Young, who tagged the brand in her Instagram Story.

No word yet on where Johnson was headed in this colourful ’fit. Seems like she could take the outer layers off and easily hit the beach, but something tells us that’s not on her itinerary. Frankly, it’s surprising that she’s up and about at all, if this is indeed her day off.

“If I’m not working, if I have a day off on a Monday, then I will sleep as long as I can. Sleep is my number one priority in life,” Johnson revealed in December. “I’m not functional if I get less than 10 [hours of sleep a night],” she added. “I can easily go 14 hours.”

Then again, maybe she is headed to the beach. In the same interview, Dakota Johnson professed a love of water. “I do transcendental meditation. I’ve been really into breathwork recently, and that’s been helping me a lot with anxiety. I will get in a bathtub at any moment, any time of the day. If in the middle of the day, I’m like, ‘Oh God, what is this world?’ I’ll get in the bathtub. I find water really grounding.” Not in those shoes, though.
