The devil may well wear Prada, but the rest of us are relentless bargain hunters at heart (can you blame us, when our job quite literally requires us to scout out all of the very chicest hidden gems?).
And while that may break down the fourth wall illusion that I’m sitting at my desk right now with my hooves parked in some new season Stella sneakers, it does mean that I know our good old British high street like the back of my hand.
Here’s what I’m buying, wearing and wanting this week…
1. The pink mohair vest
If you were in any doubt let me spell it out – pink is the colour of the season. Of the year, perhaps. So if you’re going to even consider dabbling in the dopamine dressing arena, you’d be wise to plump for as many fuchsias as you can find. So now that that’s been cleared up, let me introduce you to this slightly more muted take – a raspberry, if you will – that I’m finding a more tempting, tentative way to wear the shade. This sleeveless knit with its quarter-zip neckline and exaggerated collar is quite literally the perfect AW22 transitional piece.
