Are the Frankie Shop blazers worth the hype?

When someone walks into the room wearing a great blazer, it’s impossible not to notice. When it comes to office wear, the right blazer can make all the difference to looking and feeling put together. To this day, I would say blazers are one of the hardest working pieces in many womne’s wardrobes.

Tailoring, in general, is one of those things that always seem to come through, no matter the trends or season but especially for work. And whether it’s for a day full of meetings or a more laid-back office vibe with jeans, a well-fitted blazer has a way of elevating your entire look. There’s something about a sleek, tailored cut that just feels polished, yet relaxed at the same time. It’s the kind of wardrobe staple that can easily pull any outfit together, and when you find the right one, you know you’re going to feel like the best version of yourself.

The boom of severance style that we saw at the recent fashion weeks proves that we’re all finally embracing office wear again. And as we return to slightly more polished looks, the Frankie Shop Indio blazer is one piece that just fits into the modern office wardrobe. It’s a true testament to how classic pieces can still feel fresh and relevant and makes a great wardrobe update.

We tasked five GLAMOUR team members with styling the Frankie Shop Indio blazer for the office. Here’s what they thought…

Georgia, Senior Commerce Writer

I’m a huge fan of an oversized blazer – whenever I’m stuck on what to wear in the morning, that and a pair of really good jeans is exactly what I reach for – and this one from The Frankie Shop is the blueprint. It’s an easy-to-style colour, I added a pop of cobalt blue by way of a mohair jumper over my shoulders, but quite honestly I now want one in every shade.

As someone who’s always trying to pin down the perfect capsule wardrobe I love the versatility of a neutral blazer and how easy they are to dress up or down. And when it comes to the go-to for chic, minimalist pieces with dreamy silhouettes to boot, you’d be hard pushed to find a better brand for it than The Frankie Shop. I fell in love with the structured shape of this single breasted blazer, with its buttery cream shade being an endlessly useful, timeless colour to have in the arsenal. Though a boxier shape, I appreciated how lightweight it felt on and the instant old money vibes that came with it. In an effort to balance out the oversized fit I paired it with a simple black mini, rich mohair brown jumper and some black and white penny loafers. While it’s admittedly not a colour I’d usually reach for I could see this being an easy way to elevate a ‘fit through the seasons.

There’s nothing better than finding a piece that slots perfectly into my wardrobe, instantly making old outfits feel fresh again. This blazer does exactly that, the soft, understated tone means I can throw it on with just about anything, and it always pulls a look together in that effortlessly chic way I love.
