All the White Lotus-inspired resort wear you need for your next holiday

Loaded with sex, scandal and plenty of sartorial inspiration, The White Lotus is back after a two-year hiatus with a much-anticipated season three, and the first episode did not disappoint.

The latest instalment of director Mike White’s award-winning HBO satire had everyone buzzing at first over the casting of BLACKPINK’s Lisa playing a charming member of staff at the luxury hotel (Four Seasons Koh Samui), where the show is set. But after watching the first episode, I realised something else felt a little more glamorous too—the wardrobes.

In the first couple scenes alone, I’d already clocked: Victoria Ratliff (Parker Posey) with her Gucci 1947 bamboo top-handle bag on a yacht; a Loewe Squeeze bag and Zimmermann dress on Laurie (Carrie Coon) as the trio of best friends including Jaclyn (Michelle Monoghan) and Kate (Leslie Bibb) settle into their sweeping villas; and finally, a JW Anderson “noodle” crochet bag paired with Linda Farrow sunnies when Chelsea (Aimee Lou Wood) lounges by the pool.

It makes sense that these characters who’ve flown first class halfway across the globe for this uber-luxury “wellness retreat” in the middle of Thailand would have enviable wardrobes to match. From OTT earrings to loud, floral prints, Emmy-nominated costume designer Alex Bovaird had said that quiet luxury has no place in The White Lotus.

These matching sets with hibiscus prints and vintage kaftans have got me frantically booking my next sunny escape, and I’m not alone. Research conducted by Opinium and commissioned by American Express. shows that as of mid-January, more than 12 million Brits have already booked their international trips this year, with the average person planning three holidays in 2025.

We don’t know about you, but we’re certainly tired of looking at puffer coats and very much ready to invest in our resort wear for the year. With seven episodes still to go, we’re confident we’ll be seeing lots more sequinned swimwear and Hawaiian shirts, but for now, we have H&M’s White Lotus-inspired capsule which just launched today to tide us over, and several of our favourite beachwear brands dropping their summer collections to choose from.

Below, take a look at our edit of White Lotus-inspired fashion to get you excited for your next holiday.
