A major shopping event, Black Friday originated in the USA as a way to mark the start of the Christmas shopping season — but it’s now an international affair. It always begins the day after Thanksgiving, and shoppers can expect major discounts all through the weekend.
This year, the Black Friday festivities will officially kick off on Friday 24th November, and run all the way through to the end of Monday 27th November — otherwise known as Cyber Monday.
