I hate to be dramatic, but rhinestone jeans have ~kind of~ saved my life this party season. I’m not really a sequin dress girl, you see, and while I’ll reluctantly wheel out my trusty Christmas party frock for the right occasion, the majority of the festive get-ups in my calendar call for something altogether more casual.
Silver trousers fit the bill, often, as does a good trouser suit. But both options lack a certain degree of versatility. Enter: rhinestone jeans.
As per French fashion brand Maje and current influencer favourite Aligne, rhinestone jeans are here to prove that denim can, instead, be the shining star of your party season wardrobe. Party frocks (sometimes) unnecessary. This season’s new jeans releases – from wide leg jeans to straight leg cuts – are embellished with pearls, rhinestones and diamantés. And they’re bringing the festive drama in the chicest possible way.
Where to shop them? If you’ve got a little more money to spend, Aligne’s aforementioned (and Lindsey Holland-approved) Jacinda jeans get our vote – coming in at £149 and adorned in diamantes for a disco-ball-finish. It’s hardly a surprise that their offering tops our must-buy list: Aligne are a hot brand this season – with their earlier denim trench coat release setting the tone for editor favourites all season.
Timeless and suiting to birthdays and Christmasses of every year in your future, their Jacinda jeans have a classic wide leg cut (as per the OG Jacinda silhouette) and look perfect paired with the brand’s matching Harlem denim shirt.
Wonderfully, countless high-street brands have also followed suit. Take Zara, for example. They’ve dropped six (!) pairs of rhinestone jeans for the autumn/winter season – our favourites being their TRF wide-leg rhinestone jeans which are cut in light wash denim (and styled alongside a bejewelled rhinestone crop top). So. Good.
