Zara Larsson: Everything you need to know about the star blowing up your TikTok

TikTok is officially the way to connect with everything we’re interested in from all over the world.

Case in point: Zara Larsson, Swedish pop sensation, is blowing up our TikToks right now with her stage performances and dance routines. She’s been in the industry for decades, but we’re suddenly all over her viral stage presence, as are the rest of her 4.4 million followers.

Here’s everything you need to know about the TikTokker and popstar.

Who is Zara Larsson?

Zara rose to prominence back in 2008 after winning the Swedish version of the popular Got Talent franchise, Talang. Since then, she has worked with big pop DJ names such as David Guetta and Clean Bandit. One of her most popular tracks has to be 2018’s Symphony, one technically from Clean Bandit that she featured on.

She’s released five studio albums in her career, most recently her 2025 release Midnight Sun and has been a support act for Beyoncé, Ed Sheeran and Cher Lloyd.

She has also starred in a Netflix Nordic film A Part of You, which was released in 2024.

Where is Zara Larsson from?

She was born and grew up in Stockholm, where she lived with her parents, a nursing assistant and an officer and her sister Hanna, who is also a singer.

While she may be blowing up on TikTok, she still has a relatively low profile in comparison to other singers and celebrities. She told Metro that this was “a Swedish thing”.

“Where I grew up we don’t really have like, celebrity celebrities. We have famous people, but no one really bothers you when you go out. It’s a way of thinking. It’s like you’re not better than anyone else.”

Where can I see Zara Larsson live?

Her Midnight Sun tour is set to begin in Europe in October, and it’s also just been announced that Zara will play London’s All Points East festival in August 2026, alongside Lorde, PinkPantheress, 2hollis, Oklou, Audrey Hobert, Glamour‘s Women of the Year Spotlight honouree Rose Gray, Esha Tewari, ML Buch and Fabiana Palladino.

She also recently supported Tate McRae on the Miss Possessive Tour, and hit out at speculation that the two musicians were feuding, as well as comparing them. In an exclusive interview with Capital, she put fans straight.
