When Yara Shahidi stepped out for another day of Paris Fashion Week yesterday we knew she’d bring the same energy to her glam that she’s been giving us throughout all of Fashion Month. She tore up London with the most sophisticated, offbeat midnight blue sparkly liner, she gave us a semi-snatched pony in Milan with the sleekest centre-parting, chased by beautiful loose curls and her understated cat-eye liner and low bun at Dior in Paris was a lesson in stunning simplicity.
Yara is known for adding a fresh twist to classic looks, from glitzy accents, to pops of neon brights and, teaming up with regular glam collaborator and top makeup artist, Nikki Wolff, she didn’t disappoint as she headed to chill frow at another fashion showcase.

Dressed in a show-stopping red ensemble (which the fashion set has cemented as the shade of autumn), Nikki kept Yara’s makeup monochromatic with almost bare glossy lips and a pared back eye look. But to add interest, she added a dinky black eyeliner dot under the centre of Yara’s bottom lash line.
Sharing a picture from the evening, Nikki added the caption: “Micro dots and a sculpted glow for beauty @yarashahidi attending @alexandermcqueen last night.”
The addition was a smart but subtle way to draw attentions to Yara’s eyes and to add the illusion of extra fullness to her already-fluttery bottom lashes which Nikki coated in an ultra delicate layer of mascara. And while it added a new spin, it’s an old technique, having gained popularity with models like Twiggy in the ’60s. But by pairing it with a fierce coloured outfit, a cool silhouette, the most immaculate braids (by Sherri Ann Cole) and no Go-Go boots in site, it feels very current.
