The BAFTA Awards 2026 were a great night for the Brits. For the second category of the night, Sinners star Wunmi Mosaku picked up the award for Best Supporting Actress. In addition to her stunning smile and emotional speech, it was the shiny, deep blue gown that stood out as one of the most impactful pieces that walked the red carpet that evening.

The dress was crafted by Priya Ahluwalia, the British designer of dual, Nigerian and Indian heritage, for her eponymous label. The one-shouldered gown consisted of layers of cobalt blue fringe cut in a body-hugging way that not only celebrates her pregnancy, but puts it at the forefront. It’s so exciting to see a woman who embodies her body and natural curves with a sense of high fashion and a show-stopping beauty look to boot. Styled by Shameelah Hicks, Mosaku matched her sparkling smoky eye to the colour of the dress, while the sculptural hair, sparkling hoop earrings and simple silver sandals completed the look.

After seeing this stunning look, we’re even more excited about the upcoming launch of Wunmi Mosaku’s chic maternity wear line, Iyadé. The label’s name translates to “mother has arrived” in Yoruba, and aims to close the gap between high fashion and maternity wear in a way that puts women’s bodies at the forefront.
