Who is Bridgerton‘s Sam Phillips?
Sam Phillips is a 39-year-old actor from London. Having studied at the renowned Guildhall School of Music and Drama, he’s since gone on to star in several TV shows, films and theatre productions.
What other TV shows, movies and theatre has Sam Phillips appeared in?
Sam is perhaps best known for his role in The Crown as the Queen’s Equerry, with the British actor playing the character from 2019 to 2020 and winning two SAG Awards for the role.
Phillips also appeared as Sergeant Dockett in Far From The Madding Crowd, as well as featuring in TV series Grantchester, The Syndicate and Doctors.
Likewise, Sam Phillips has a background in theatre, having starred in a leading role at the Old Vic’s Inherit the Wind and appearing as Claudio in a Globe Theatre production of Much Ado About Nothing.

While nothing’s been confirmed by Sam, fans on TikTok have been speculating that he’s dating none other than his Bridgerton co-star, Bessie Carter, AKA Prudence.
The pair have been photographed at several events with her family, including alongside Bessie’s mum Imelda Staunton, though neither have publicly confirmed the status of their relationship.
