The internet has a new main character for the day — and he sure is… something. If you have been anywhere near Instagram or TikTok this week, chances are you’ve already come across “Ibiza final boss.” If you haven’t met Ibiza Final Boss yet, please prepare yourself for a British caricature that is so on the nose, it’s hard to believe it was an accident.
What is Ibiza Final Boss?
It’s a meme. Of what? A guy. Just a guy. Who was filmed dancing in Ibiza. And by dancing, I mean shifting from one foot to the other, drink in one hand, the other hand pumping the air, Florence Pugh-worthy frown plastered on his face.
What’s so special about this guy, you may ask. Sounds like any other lads’ holiday dude you might come across dancing in Ibiza, no?
Well, when you see him, you’ll understand why he has captured so much attention. Ibiza Final Boss looks — well — kind of like a cartoon character. Or rather, kind of like the Final Boss you’d be up against in a video game set in Ibiza. (Get it?)
Why is Ibiza Final Boss… happening?
Good question. It all started when Zero West Six Ibiza shared the now-infamous clip of the guy (real name Jack Kay, by the way) on Instagram. “Does anyone know this absolute legend coz weve got 2 free guestlists with his name on it!” they wrote in the caption.
The clip went viral and Ibiza Final Boss was born. Naturally, Jack Kay is capitalising on his fame with what appears to be a new TiKTok account, which, so far, seems to be dedicated to more videos of him dancing in Ibiza. He’s also promoting himself on Instagram and apparently has already secured the services of Neon Management — who have announced that “Ibiza Final Boss is going on tour.” Do we know what that means? No. Do we want to? Honestly, probably not. Has this whole thing been kind of fun? Sure. Now onto the next meme please.
