Things just got really serious on MAFS Australia. And, like… not in a fun way.
In tonight’s episode of the reality dating show, we’re about to see a dark storyline. It was teased in last night’s promo. In the teaser, Paul was seen confessing… something… at the next dinner party, while expert John Aiken said ominously, “This is very serious.”
Ok, so what happened? Luckily, the series has already aired over in Australia, so we have the answers you’re after. Spoilers ahead, obviously.

What happened with the Paul punching scandal on MAFS Australia?
What did Paul do? Well, he got angry and punched a hole in the wall. Honestly? Kind of terrifying.
Here’s how it’s all going to play out in the next few episodes:
Carina recounts the story: In Episode 20, Carina recounts how it all happened. Apparently, she and Paul, along with Rhi and Jeff, another couple on the experiment, went out for a day at the beach. In the Uber home, Carina made a passing comment about how she had once hooked up with the rapper whose song was playing. When they got home, she realised that Paul was upset by her comment. She apologised and tried to give him a cuddle. Things escalated quickly and Paul ended up punching a hole in the wall. They spent the night in separate apartments.
Paul apologises to Carina: In the same episode, we see a tearful Paul apologising to Carina for his actions. Carina told the production team that she wasn’t scared of Paul.
Paul owns up to his mistake at the next dinner party: Paul owned up to his actions at the next dinner party. “I did something that I absolutely regret, something that is absolutely unacceptable. I lost control and I punched a hole in the bedroom door… it’s disgusting and I’m still hating myself for doing this,” Paul said to his fellow contestants.
