Weleda Skin Food is on sale for Amazon Prime Day, and it comes Hailey Bieber-approved

Weleda Skin Food is a godsend for my dry skin (no exaggeration), and it’s currently on sale for Amazon Prime Day. So, while I’ll definitely be scoping out all the other beauty deals, fashion deals and home deals, best believe that’s what I’m making a beeline for first.

Continuously crowned as one of the bestselling and most-loved skincare products around, despite its hefty competition, you’d be forgiven for thinking that Weleda Skin Food will set you back a few £££s. But you’d be wrong.

It (usually) retails for £14.95, and yet its something you’ll find on an A-lister’s beauty shelf. Yep. It’s not just me who adores it; Victoria Beckham, Rosie Huntington Whiteley, Rihanna and Hailey Bieber are also known fans, so trust me when I say that this won’t be in stock for very long.

Mrs Bieber is often seen using it – alongside her own Rhode products – during her ‘get ready with me’ videos over on TikTok.

“My final step with skin prep for makeup is that I like to get a richer, heavier cream and just put that in some spots where I feel like I get more dry and that I want a little more of a sheen and highlight underneath.” Hailey says.

Can I put Weleda Skin Food on my face?

Yes, absolutely. It’s super protecting, especially during the winter months, and honestly gives me a glowy complexion like nothing else. Oilier skin types can use it too, especially if you find your skin irritated after retinol or retinoid products, as it restores the barrier.

What is Weleda Skin Food used for?

It’s advertised as rich, intensive skincare for your face and body and sits somewhere between an emollient (think: Vaseline) and a cream. It’s a bit of a backstage beauty secret but has actually been around since 1926 (!), and is formulated with lanolin, organic sunflower seed oil and plenty of yummy essential oils that give it that iconic fragrance but that also feed your skin (hence the name). It’s often used as as a moisturiser during the day or as a night cream or balm for its deeply penetrating and replenishing properties. It also works as a highlighter, eyebrow tamer and fake tan prolonger, too.

“I’ve had a lot of makeup artists use this on me and I love it,” says Hailey. “I just use the tiniest bit, and I feel like it does the trick that I’m wanting of just adding a little bit more hydration.”

She’s not wrong; you only need a pea-sized amount of this stuff as a little does go a long way, but that just means it lasts longer. Another plus.
