We finally have an update on The Crown season 6 release date

“Peter has said it very articulately that he simply can’t write something unless there has been time to gain a proper perspective. I think he’s always felt 10 years is the minimum amount of time that he can see something in a historical context to allow him to really understand it.”

When asked if he may change his mind, she added: “We all know these stories, but what Peter does so brilliantly is get underneath that and understand the landscape in a more nuanced, complex, surprising way.”

Are there any big casting changes for The Crown season six?

Aside from the actors cast to play Prince William and Kate Middleton, no central roles in the final season will be recast, so most of the cast of season five are expected to return.

That includes Elizabeth Debicki as Diana, Princess of Wales; Dominic West as Charles, Prince of Wales; and Imelda Staunton as Queen Elizabeth II. Actors Jonathan Pryce, Lesley Manville, Jonny Lee Miller, Marcia Warren, Olivia Williams, Claudia Harrison, James Murray, Khalid Abdalla, Bertie Carvel and Timothy Dalton are all set to return.

Kelly Brook is set to make a cameo of sorts, though, as she explained on Heart FM (via Daily Star) that she had to give a picture clearance request for one of her pictures from her early modelling days to be used in one of the character’s dressing rooms: “That’s definitely got to be a teenage boy’s bedroom. Could I be on the wall of Prince Harry or Prince William’s bedroom at Buckingham Palace? Was I a pin-up for them back in the ’90s? How old were they then? Well, this is incredible. Of course, I have said yes.”

When will The Crown season six be released?

It might still be in production but Netflix bosses have finally given us a green light on when The Crown Season 6 will be hitting out screens. There was worry that we may have to wait until 2024 after filming paused following the death of the late Queen Elizabeth II however, according to The Wrap, Netflix’s Chief Content Officer Bela Bajaria has stated that the sixth season of the royal drama will premiere sometime in Autumn 2023. The countdown is official on.
