Amelia, Isla, Lily and Ava also made the top five girls names.
As for boys, Oliver has been pipped to the top spot (after holding the crown in 2021) by Noah, with Theo, Oliver, George and Leo also proving popular monikers.

As part of Nameberry’s research, it looked into the top 10 baby names in countries around the world. As well as being the top girl’s name in the UK, Luna took the top spot in the US, the Philippines, Japan, Germany, Canada, Brazil and Australia.
The top boy’s name in the UK, Arlo, was also in the top spot in Australia, Canada, France and New Zealand. It also seems the Queen’s influence is extending as far as Russia, as her nickname, Lilibet, is the top girl’s name there.
