We’re all familiar with the allure of the Stanley Quencher by now. You might be sipping from the Black Chroma Quencher as we speak. Or, one of those epic, retro Barbie-inspired designs (which were released to celebrate the 65th anniversary of Stanley, FYI) could be your hydration accessory of choice. Either way, #StanleyCup has more than 725,000 posts on TikTok, so none of us are strangers to seeing the It-girl water bottle – adorned with snack tray and straw cover, of course – all over our FYP.
For all I love about my Stanley Quencher, I’ve always found one thing slightly annoying. That is: how big it is. Great for staying hydrated, particularly during long car journeys – but if I’m out on a walk and have to lug it around with me to avoid feeling parched? Not so much.
So, it felt like Stanley had answered my prayers when they reached out to ask whether I’d be interested in reviewing one of their brand new wearable water bottles, exclusively from GLAMOUR. Yep, you read correctly: the Stanley Cross Bottle has launched in the UK today, the brand’s first ever hands-free water bottle that you can wear across your body. And it’s really rather chic.
Created by the team at Stanley to seamlessly blend functionality with style, the 0.68L Stanley Cross Bottle is the first-ever wearable, non-round, double-wall vacuum insulated product in the industry.
As well as having all the high performance you’d expect of the brand (high-quality, durable, recycled stainless steel, innovative design and the double-wall vacuum insulation technology that keeps your water cold for 12 hours, iced for two days), there are two major upgrades. One: it’s hands-free, featuring a colour-matched adjustable strap, and two, it’s leak-proof. Basically, it’s the perfect hydration accessory for those on-the-go.
Ben James, Stanley 1913’s Vice President, Global Commercial and General Manager, EMEA, at Stanley 1913 told us: “We have a lot to carry – phone, keys, wallet, laptop, gym bag, shopping bags – and the Stanley Cross Bottle is the embodiment of how Stanley 1913 makes people’s lives easier through smart design.
“Even the size has been carefully considered to be the sweet spot in terms of providing enough water for our consumers to take with them on the go while maintaining the integrity of their look.”
I was so surprised by how chic the new design was when it landed on my desk. I loved using the black version for work – it felt minimalist against my oversized blazer or wool coat – and I loved the Rose Quartz iteration for weekend use. Whichever colour I chose, the adjustable strap meant I could ensure the bottle sat snug to my hip – and the matte finish to the bottle made it look so expensive. The strap could be removed when I arrived at the office, or when I was using the bottle at home – and I was super impressed by how long it kept my tea warm for. Perfect for chilly winter mornings.
