The Fenty Hair Homecurl Curl-Defining Style Cream gives me the most moisturised coils ever

When Rihanna announced the launch of Fenty Hair, a lineup of hair care and styling products for natural hair, silk presses, and edges, I was instantly intrigued.

I’m a huge fan of Fenty Beauty and Fenty Skin (the Plush Puddin’ Intensive Recovery Lip Mask is a mainstay in my beauty routine), but even though the singer and mogul has made her mark in makeup and skincare, hair care is a completely different beast.

However, when I tried Fenty Hair’s The Homecurl Curl-Defining Cream for Glamour US’s 2024 Beauty & Wellness Awards testing period, I didn’t realise I’d be adding a new hero product to my curly hair routine. This curl cream has become a staple for my washday, and works as the perfect touch-up throughout the week.

Kinky with medium porosity, my hair loves a moisture-balanced curl cream. One of the reasons why the Fenty Hair curl cream separates itself from my cult-favourite products like the Pantene Gold Series Leave-On Detangling Milk is its gel-cream formula. It moisturises and enhances my curls, while controlling frizz and maintaining my wash-and-go style (for multiple days).

The key ingredient is wild mango butter, which deeply moisturises my curls and enhances my pattern. Not only does it hydrate and condition, but it also smells amazing.

The Fenty Hair signature scent is a warm and cosy combination of amber, floral, and vanilla sandalwood notes. It’s subtle enough for consumers to get a hint of fragrance, but not overwhelming that it feels like a headache.

Another celebrity hair line that is essential in my routine is Cécred, Beyoncé’s hair care line, which she worked on with her mother, Tina Knowles. Much like Fenty Hair, Cécred was met with a mix of excitement and skepticism.
