The countdown has begun. On 30th October, we’ll be celebrating a new crop of inspiring women at our annual Glamour Women of the Year Awards. Last year’s winners included actor Simone Ashley and musician Chlöe Bailey, and 2025’s honourees are set to be just as glamorous (sorry), accomplished and empowering. This year, it’s all about sisterhood.
Women of the Year–or WOTY, as we call it in the office–first started in 1990 over in the US. In 35 years, it has recognised countless women for their achievements, from the late Maya Angelou and Ruth Bader Ginsburg, to stars like Britney Spears and Mariah Carey.
Alongside our fabulous guests, we’re also excited to welcome Kemi Alemoru, our new Head of Editorial Content, for her very first WOTY. It’s no small task to put on this event, but it’s worth it to award the women shaping culture and championing female empowerment.
