Taylor Swift’s The Life of a Showgirl release time, song list and latest news

Of course, particularly observant Swifties quickly noticed that the silhouette was from her Variety Directors on Directors appearance from December 2022. Iiiinteresting. All very compelling evidence.

The Life of a Showgirl announcement landed on Taylor Swift’s website following a mysterious timer appearing, which was counting down to 00:12 ET (05:12 UK time).

Shocking to no one, when the countdown hit tim,e Swift’s site immediately crashed before finally recovering to share limited details about her new project.

However, during her appearance on Kelce’s podcast, we saw Swift dramatically open a cream briefcase with an orange ‘TS’ embellished on it to reveal a blurred out vinyl, explaining “This is my brand new album, The Life of a Showgirl”, closely followed by Jason Kelce’s screams. Showmanship at its best.

When does The Life of a Showgirl come out?

During her appearance on the ‘New Heights’ podcast, Swift revealed that the album will be released on 3 October (yes, Mean Girls day people!), while preorders will be shipped on 13 October.

And yes, Friday 3 October is tomorrow.

As with Taylor’s previous album releases, The Life of a Showgirl will be released at midnight ET (00:00 am ET), releasing globally at once which means Swifties everywhere will be able to enjoy TLOSG goodness all together.

In the UK, this means The Life of a Showgirl is dropping at 5AM BST, so set your alarms now!
