Taylor Swift has been breaking records for quite some time now, but the singer has managed to outdo even herself as her Eras Tour film became the highest-grossing concert film ever before it’s even been released.
Wednesday 11 October saw the highly anticipated world premiere of Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour in Los Angeles, with the event being attended by the likes of Beyoncé, Rachel Zegler and Adam Sandler.
While the film is set to be released in the UK on Friday 13 October, Taylor Swift delighted international fans yesterday after announcing early viewings for her highly anticipated Eras Tour concert film in the US and Canada “due to unprecedented demand”.
Unfortunately for UK Swifties, the Eras Tour concert film release date hasn’t been brought forward in the UK, though fans will be able to see the film in cinemas from tomorrow when Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour will be released across 8,500 cinemas in 100 countries.

With a three-hour runtime, the film sees Swift’s Eras tour stadium performance play out in its entirety, giving fans who missed out on securing tickets to the tour itself a chance to still revel in the glory of the record-breaking tour and what Taylor herself describes as “the most meaningful, electric experience of [her] life so far”.
Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour in numbers
Unsurprisingly, tickets for the Eras Tour concert film have been in high demand, with it having already brought in over £82m in advance ticket sales as of last week, according to AMC.
In addition to bringing the film release forward in the US, the ‘Blank Space’ singer also announced further showtimes on Friday and over the weekend, with this expected to boost ticket sales by a further $50m (£43m) according to Variety.
