Sydney Sweeney was giving kittenish ’60s glamour at her second Met Gala. The Euphoria and White Lotus star graced the red carpet at The Metropolitan Museum of Art on Monday, May 1 in a pink beaded Miu Miu gown with a gauzy black bow above the hem.
This year’s theme, “Karl Lagerfeld: A Line of Beauty,” was accompanied by the apt dress code, “in honor of Karl.” And the 25-year-old Emmy-nominated actor perfectly embodied the prolific designer’s vision of femininity with her hair coiffed to the heavens and topped with a black bow by celebrity hairstylist Glen Coco. Her makeup for the 2023 Met Gala, meanwhile, was kept soft and understated with a pink lip and golden-nude eyeshadow.
At 2022’s Met Gala, which was themed, “In America: An Anthology of Fashion,” Sweeney hit the carpet in a Cinderella-esque ensemble from Tory Burch with a dramatic tear-away skirt. The corseted ball gown was the perfect fit for the “gilded glamour” dress code, while the shorter hemline made the whole ensemble more playful. She accessorised with a Bucherer Fine Jewellery ring with a fancy intense pink diamond, which she paired with a B Dimension Pave Ring, Classic Ring with 2-carat pear cut diamond, classic diamond bracelet and emerald cut earrings.

And if you’re wondering where Sweeney’s fiancé is, rest assured she is still—as far as we know—betrothed to Jonathan Davino despite breakup (and cheating scandal) rumours. The pair got engaged in early 2022 after four years of dating, but the restauranteur didn’t accompany Sweeney to her first Met Gala last year either.
