The actress has opted for a pair of over-the-knee boots with block heels that are sure to be one of autumn 2024’s hottest items. The boots reach well above her knees and have a small lace-up detail at the back. They are, of course, from Chloé’s current autumn/winter collection—designed by the French fashion house’s new creative director Chemena Kamali—as is the rest of her outfit, a cream-coloured chiffon dress and a leather cape with beige buttons. A brown leather shopper bag from Miu Miu rounds off her elegant boho look.
When Chemena Kamali presented her collection for Chloé in Paris in February, it was clear that this collection would shake up the fashion scene and bring back some boho greats, including the over-the-knee boot. Chemena was not alone. We’re seeing over-the-knee boots in all kinds of variations on the runways at Gucci, Fendi and more.
There’s also something quite practical about the over-the-knee boot. Their length keeps us warm enough even as temperatures dip, and allows us to wear a mini skirt or dress well into autumn. You could always wear the boots with tights or long socks for extra layers.
