Sydney Sweeney has perfected the art of the ponytail, so the rest of us can stop trying

Put down the scrunchie! Sydney Sweeney just served up the perfect ponytail. The actor jetted off to Seoul, Korea, for a special Samsung Galaxy event on July 26, and looked beyond chic with a long ponytail by stylist Glen Oropeza.

43 ponytail hairstyle ideas, from slick and snatched to romantic and messy

More often than not, Sydney Sweeney opts for wearing her hair down on the red carpet, having made tousled strands her calling card at this year’s Met Gala and, more recently, at Paris Fashion Week.

But this time, her golden blonde hair was parted in the middle and slicked down on one side for a sleek finish, with a large piece of bang pulled out near the front to frame her face and keep the pony from looking too tamed-down.

The ponytail itself was firmly anchored at the crown of her head and flowed down to mid-shoulder with a few loose curls for bounce and movement. It’s shiny. It’s swingy. Not a single hair is out of place. It’s the kind of ponytail you dream about when you’re a kid trying to figure out how to style your hair.

Barbie would absolutely wear this ponytail, and it’s made even better by a skinny blonde headset. I would love one of those to really jazz up my Zoom meetings, especially with a ponytail to match.

The star’s skin was just as golden as the ponytail, thanks to a little magic from makeup artist Melissa Hernandez who used a warm golden palette for the star’s eyes and cheeks, with a touch of black eyeliner and some shimmering lip gloss to up the shine factor even more. The beauty, it’s blinding!

Of course, this perfect ponytail is par for the course for Sydney, who is blessed with truly gorgeous hair. Case in point: the full, luscious cinematic blowout she wore for an appearance on Today, her ’90s-style flippy bob or the time she went brunette. How does it feel to know you wore the most pristine ponytail to ever exist, Sydney, and most importantly, can you teach me your ways?
