There are two things I love that get better with time: wine and Gabrielle Union. Every time I see her on my social feeds, I’m simply blown away by her beauty.
When I say she’s ageing like fine wine, I’m not referring to her seemingly youthful appearance — though maybe we need to reevaluate what we think a 50-year-old woman is “supposed” to look like — but her overall vibe; she just seems to be living her best life. And on August 6, the actor was living it up and glowing with inches of wet-looking water waves.
Union wore a little black dress from Coperni with matching heels to celebrate her husband Dwyane Wade — that Sunday, fashion retailer FWRD hosted a party to honour Wade’s upcoming induction into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame. If your eyes can stand to look away from her mesmerizing stare, feast them on her silky, wavy hair.

These water waves looked like they were practically dripping wet. Her hair was parted down the middle, and the very ends touched her butt. On either temple, her baby hairs were brushed into a subtle swoop. The sheen on her hair nearly rivalled her luminous complexion, making me wonder if her hairstylist applied a hair gloss like Drybar’s Liquid Glass Instant Glossing Rinse through her hair.

Union stepped out in an LBD with wavy hair that would make any mermaid green with envy — and me. I think everything about this look is utter perfection, and that’s saying a lot, considering I’m a beauty maximalist, and the look on Gabrielle Union is so minimalist.
