Flipping what we know about Greek tragedy on its head, the Netflix series stars Jeff Goldblum and Billie Piper – as well as Suzy Eddie Izzard and David Thewlis as Hades. Janet McTeer will play Hera, while the starry cast also includes Cliff Curtis, Nabhaan Rizwan, Killian Scott, Aurora Perrineau, Misia Butler, Leila Farzad, Rakie Ayola and Stanley Townsend.

What is Netflix’s KAOS about?
In case you haven’t watched it yet, KAOS is a rather interesting, modern take on a Greek dramedy.
“KAOS is a bold, darkly comic, contemporary take on Greek mythology: exploring love, power, and life in the underworld,” it’s official synopsis reads.
“It is an irreverent dramedy, inspired by Greek mythology (no degree in classics required!). A dysfunctional family (of gods) – cruel fathers, wayward sons, discontented wives and warring brothers – the series takes a fresh look at power structures and the idea of the 1%.”
“Zeus (Jeff Goldblum) has long enjoyed his status as King of The Gods,” the synopsis adds. “That is until he wakes up one morning and discovers a wrinkle on his forehead. Neurosis sets in, setting him off on a dangerous, paranoid path. Zeus becomes convinced his fall is coming – and starts to see signs of it everywhere.”
What happens to Zeus at the end of KAOS?
Throughout the series, we see Zeus growing ever more preoccupied, obsessed and anxious about a prophecy made about him (“a line appears, the order wanes, the family falls and kaos reigns). So significant is this prophecy and its impact on Zeus it’s the whole namesake of the series.
Anyway, Zeus is disturbed when he dreams that slices his finger open while opening a pomegranate, causing him to bleed. The problem is, gods aren’t supposed to bleed – causing him to worry his “downfall” will turn him mortal.
He then visits The Fates, those responsible for writing the prophecies, who tell him that they can only come true for people who believe in them. So naturally, Zeus destroys all prophecies, not just his own, in the hopes it will protect him. However, this doesn’t stop him from doubting everyone around him, wondering if someone close to him might in fact be plotting his downfall.
It’s not a great end for Zeus – when Prometheus arrives at Mount Olympus, Zeus is unable to shun him away because his powers aren’t working. The dream about cutting his finger, it turns out, was a vision – leaving us to wonder whether he’s lost his immortality.

What happens to Riddy at the end of KAOS?
Riddy is brought back by Orpheus from the Underworld. The duo soon go their separate ways after Orpheus realises Riddy’s feelings for Caeneus.
