Nick forgives her, and they eventually get engaged. When they finally meet, however, it seems maybe love isn’t so blind. Hannah admits to the camera that she expected a football player with a bigger build. “What he said [in the pods about his appearance], I don’t think was really truthful,” she says. “It is making me feel a little insecure because I feel like I’m bigger than him.”

In Mexico she starts warming up to him until what shall become known as the Duck Incident. The couple are lounging beachside when Nick announces that he wants to go ride on some child-size ducks that were placed around the pool area.

“It’s gonna give me the ick,” she replies, urging him not to do it. He goes anyway, and an older woman nearby sees and decides to come race him. Hannah motions for Nick to leave and come back to their cabana, and the other woman sees and says, “Oh, she’s jealous! Don’t be jealous!” Nick laughs, and they move forward with their race.

When he returns to Hannah, she says it “grossed her out a little bit” and is clearly upset.

Later, when they meet up with the other couples, Hannah tells Marissa she thought it was disrespectful for him to laugh with the older woman as she told Hannah not to be jealous. Apparently, when they got back to their hotel room, she wrote a list of concerns — and left it out in a place where he could see it.

Some of the things she wrote down include, “Actions speak louder than words.” “Respect.” “Social awareness.” Yikes.

Despite the drama, the two are sticking it out for now: meeting each other’s families, cooking together, and living together. In an interview with GLAMOUR US, Hannah admitted that she could be a little hard on Nick, but that was only because she was taking the “experiment” to heart and wanted to be sure before they got married.

“I think that was the biggest [reason I was] so harsh is because I was so stressed out. Because I was like, This is so serious. And so I was being so serious,” she said.

Did they get married on the show, and are they still together?

Unclear! In the preview for the final batch of episodes, it’s clear they’re still together when they leave Mexico. But for how long? Their social media doesn’t offer any clues, so we likely won’t find out until the season seven finale airs on Wednesday, October 23.
