Anyone who tries to tell you that Lindsay Lohan doesn’t have a signature look is screwing with you. Through all the years we’ve known and loved her, she has only strayed away from her long, red hair a couple of times. But just because she tends to stick to a theme doesn’t mean she can’t have a little fun with slight variations, and her latest look is nothing short of yummy.
Lindsay herself and hairstylist Dimitris Giannetos posted a few behind-the-scenes photos of the actor on Monday 29 July, showing off her look from a Morelli Brothers shoot. She’s positively glowing in a makeup look made up of warm neutrals and conspicuously cute freckles, but we’re even more enamoured with her hair, which Dimitris calls “churro waves.”
What are churro waves?
We were wondering the same, so we went straight to Dimitris to ask him. “’Churro waves’ is the combination of flat waves and mermaid waves. It’s more stringy and styled in different directions,” Dimitris explains. “Sweet and messy like churros.”
To achieve the look, he started with some heat protection, followed by the GHD Curve 1″ curling iron to create some bends. After he sprayed things into place with a flexible hairspray and on the crown he used a hair wax applied with a toothbrush to avoid flyaways.
And can we talk about this colour? Lindsay has been leaning a little more strawberry blonde lately, but the blonde highlights that are popping out really bring out the cinnamon vibes — perfect for a churro-inspired colour.

The comment section of Lindsay’s post is overflowing with fans gushing over how stunning she looks. “Icon is iconinggg!! 😍,” one follower wrote, while another said, “Gorge Orwell,” which I am absolutely stealing.
