Leni has just followed Jennifer Lopez’s lead in switching up her mani with a set of modern transparent French nails, giving us the most beautiful French manicure inspo for the summer.
Leni’s a dedicated fan of long nails – recently she favours them in a stiletto shape. She also regularly leans towards more subtle colours, such as strawberry milk nails or latte nails. It’s no wonder then, that her latest manicure is ultra elongating with a low-key colour that still makes a statement and goes with any outfit. Her current transparent French nails feature a glossy nude polish on the nails, but rather than finishing them off with a French tip, the top of each nail is neither white nor milky, but simply transparent.

What makes the transparent French nails so special is the emphasised shine and the gel nail look. If you want to recreate this, there are a few points to bear in mind.

If you want nails as long as Leni Klum, you either need to grow strong, healthy nails or opt for nail extensions. This is particularly easy with gel or acrylic nails, which are best done in a nail salon. However, gentle Biab can also be used for nail extensions – and at the same time help nails to grow longer in a healthy and natural way. If you want to do it yourself, buy a super sheer milky pink nail polish with a gel finish (like Essie’s Gel Couture Nail Polish in Fairy Tailor), and if you want to sheer it out even more, you can always mix in some extra clear polish. Add a transparent top coat and your transparent French nails are finished.
