Love is in the air for… *checks notes* Kylie Jenner and Timothée Chalamet. And it has been for three whole years.
While there were rumblings beforehand, the (somewhat) surprising pairing became the Internet’s hottest obsession when the Kylie Cosmetics founder and Oscar-nominated actor went public with their romance at a Beyoncé concert in September 2023.
Since the couple has kept a very low profile, but more and more, they have attended various events together – including the recent Marty Supreme premiere in Los Angeles, where they donned matching orange Chrome Hearts outfits, and the Critics’ Choice Awards in January, where Timmy professed his love for his “partner of three years”.
Sadly, the topic wasn’t broached on the latest season of The Kardashians, but here’s everything we know about Kylie Jenner and Timothée Chalamet’s relationship thus far…
Early April 2023: DeuxMoi reports Kylie Jenner and Timothée Chalamet are dating.
The dating rumours caught fire during the first week of April via the celebrity gossip Instagram account DeuxMoi, which was lit up with anonymous tips about the potential coupling, including aforementioned rumours that the two would be attending Coachella 2023 together. While people claimed they had seen them together or had insider knowledge, nothing has been acknowledged, confirmed, or denied by Jenner or Chalamet. (Representatives for Kylie and Timothée did not respond to our request for comment.)
13 April 2023: Jenner’s car is seen at Chalamet’s home.
On April 13, TMZ shared photos of Jenner’s car, a black Range Rover, parked in the driveway of Chalamet’s Beverly Hills home. A day later, Page Six reported that Jenner and Chalamet were seen out on a “secret date” in L.A. at a popular taco spot. Timmy was allegedly picked up by Jenner’s driver and taken to the restaurant, and the couple reportedly ate their tacos in the backseat of her SUV. Romantic!
This led many to believe that Jenner and Chalamet would hard launch their relationship at Coachella. However, while Jenner was in attendance with her besties Fai Khadra and sister Kendall Jenner, Chalamet was not.
“Kylie decided she didn’t want to make things public with Timothée this past weekend at Coachella,” a source told ET, “and really just wanted to chill and have fun with her friends.” The source also seemed to suggest that Jenner and Chalamet met through mutual friends — one mutual friend in particular. “Timothée is also friends with Kendall,” said the source, “so it’s been easy for Kylie to integrate him into her life.”
17 April 2023: A source confirms the pair are dating.
Shortly after Coachella’s first weekend, Entertainment Tonight reported that Kylie Jenner and Timothée Chalamet were actually dating, like, for real. A source confirmed the rumors to ET, revealing that the wild card couple is currently “keeping things casual” for now.
“It’s not serious, but Kylie is enjoying hanging out with Timothée and seeing where it goes,” the source told ET. “It’s been really fun for her because it feels a lot different than her past relationships. It’s new and exciting for Kylie and she’s having a lot of fun.”
The Kardashian-Jenner family does love an unexpected boyfriend, like Kendall’s recent public — and romantic — outings with Bad Bunny, and Kim’s whirlwind romance with Pete Davidson. (Kylie and her on-again, off-again partner Travis Scott split for the second time in early 2023, several months after the birth of their son Aire.)
