Kendall Jenner shone last night with her new blonde hair colour at the Academy Museum Gala in Los Angeles.
The event, which also saw her sisters Kylie Jenner and Kim Kardashian in attendance, brought together the most celebrities per square mile of the month — but of all the spectacular lewks they gave us, we are left thinking non-stop about Kendall’s flattering midi bob. With a vintage spirit — a bit Marilyn with a dash of Grace Kelly — it seriously juxtaposed the cut-out velvet gown that she styled it with. They say that blondes have more fun, and although we can’t prove it scientifically, we’re sure that the 28-year-old model felt like a modern-day bombshell with her bouncy ’50s curls.

Applied to medium length hair with big, pronounced waves, Kendall Jenner’s chosen shade of blonde is ideal for those who want to finally take the plunge with this colour, but don’t want to risk too much. Sometimes dubbed ‘beige blonde’, hair designer and Redken ambassador Juandiegoteo told GLAMOUR: “It’s very flattering on warmer skin tones – and the good thing is that it’s much easier to care for and maintain than more extreme blondes.”

How to get the exact shade?
Beige blonde has a warm, powdery tone that puts it in that interesting vintage spot. It’s a medium blonde with very bright golden undertones that, in Kendall’s case, plays with a subtly browner root. She also has some very scattered highlights that are a bit lighter, to create contrast and give the hair more depth and volume. In her case they have a noticeable effect, as her brown eyes are lit up by this chromatic play.
How to care for beige blonde
According to Juandiegoteo, it’s one of the easier blondes to maintain. Unlike platinum, it’s enough to use specific hair cosmetics for blondes — he advises using hair masks to prolong the life of the colour — and recommends “giv[ing] it luminosity with moisturising treatments in the salon.”
