Is that Keke Palmer, or is it Barbie? The actor and musician totally transformed her look and went bright platinum blonde wig with a lace so invisible it looks like it’s growing from her scalp, and fans could not deal with how good the sunny colour looked on their fave.
Palmer shared a selfie of her blonde moment to Instagram, calling it, “That time I went blonde.” Blonde is right, as the star’s hair is a super pale blonde hue, quite a departure from her usual deep brunette. In the photos, Palmer’s hair has been teased and sculpted into a voluminous, glamorous twist updo befitting a ’90s supermodel, worn parted dramatically to one side with a few loose curled pieces tucked up into the updo for a windblown, done-but-not-done effect.
Judging from the background of the selfie and the white waffle-weave robe she’s wearing, it looks like Palmer is behind the scenes at a photoshoot, though she didn’t share more details about the transformation or what, exactly, it’s for.
Palmer’s stylist Tamika Gibson was responsible for the Barbie blonde moment, and makeup artist Kenya Alexis gave her an equally glam pale purple eye paired with perfectly precise brows, long, wispy curled lashes and a pop of white liner in her waterline for definition and contrast. A gorgeous rosy cheek, glossy lip and milky pink stiletto manicure with 3D silver details finished off the new mom’s new look.

Keke Palmer’s fans and followers were obsessed with the star’s blonde transformation, to say the very least. “Baby, this is Keke Monroe,” wrote one. “This Barbie is a MOTHER,” added another. “If Keke don’t do nothing else, she gone serve looks 24/77777,” added yet another. The blonde may not be a forever thing for Palmer, but if she decides to keep it around awhile, we certainly won’t be mad about it.
