There aren’t many skincare heroes quite as renowned as the Paula’s Choice 2% BHA Liquid Exfoliant. Need proof? The viral face exfoliator has made noise on TikTok, with #PaulasChoiceBHA generating a staggering 58 million views (and counting).
The best part? It’s currently a whole 20% off on Amazon, thanks to the retailer’s annual Prime Day Big Deals Day event, which is set to conclude tonight at 23:59. When we say “run, don’t walk”, we mean it.
As part of the retailer’s two-day-long shopping bonanza, Amazon has put out an obscene amount of Prime Day beauty deals, but as a beauty writer who has tested hundreds of products throughout my career, this one might just be my favourite. I’ve already gone through two whole bottles of this goodness, so best believe that I’ll be adding it to my Amazon shopping cart, stat.

Paula’s Choice 2% BHA: the hype
This face exfoliant has become an absolute non-negotiable in my skincare routine ever since I first tried it two years ago. Unlike other physical exfoliants that I’ve tested previously, the Paula’s Choice BHA Liquid Exfoliant is effective and gentle enough at the same time. That being said, as someone who has sensitive skin, I was a bit worried about potential irritation and flare-ups, however, as it turns out, my skin loves this formula (side note: I even have my husband hooked on this, and that’s saying something…).
How does Paula’s Choice 2% BHA work?
In case you’re unfamiliar, Paula’s Choice Skin Perfecting 2% BHA is a fast-absorbing leave-on liquid exfoliant that’s meant to remove built-up dead skin cells both on the surface of your skin and deep inside your pores to help you achieve smooth and even complexion over prolonged use.
It’s formulated with salicylic acid, which is a type of BHA and a commonly used ingredient found in skincare products aimed for acne-prone skin. It also has anti-inflammatory properties to reduce the appearance of blackheads, redness and blemishes. This product also works for all skin types, although it’s been proven to work particularly well on oily and acne-prone skin types.
