Have we been sleeping on Stradivarius? The high-street fashion brand is often overlooked for its big sister Zara, or the scandi-favourite H&M. But Barcelona-born Stradivarius is nailing it this spring/summer with designs fit for the runway – to shop at more affordable prices.
As we do the seasonal wardrobe switch-up, if you’re anything like me you’re thinking about where your summer wardrobe needs a sunnier infusion; enter Stradivarius. The brand is a great option if you’re into bold colours, mix-and-match patterns and textured accessories. Throw in a few solid basics and your wardrobe update is done. And if you were looking longingly at the spring/summer designer catwalk trends but couldn’t stretch your budget, Stradivarius has some options you’ll seriously love.
One of the stand-outs from Stradivarius right now is their pyjamas and boxers edit. The street style set was hot on the heels of Miu Miu, who styled boxer shorts and thick masculine waistbands peeking out of skirts and trousers on the SS24 runway. And it wasn’t long before we saw them not only peeking, but worn alone. In fact, the likes of Sydney Sweeney and Kendall Jenner make a case for the more ‘barely-there’ the better when it comes to underwear as outwear. The only exception when it comes to shorts this season is Bermuda jorts. That’s right, if you’re wearing denim, it’s all about knee-skimming lengths. Whatever fighter you’re picking, be it boxers or jorts, try playing with masc-fem dressing this summer and pair with pretty broderie anglaise finishes. Alternatively go coquette and try another Miu-Miu-approved look – ruffle skirts.
Whether you’re into the ruffle mini skirts, or a flowy maxi style, they’re best matched with bright or patterned trainers. Adidas Gazelles and Sambas have been filling our Instagram feeds and FYPs galore. But if you’re not ready to invest in a statement Samba, Stradivarius has their own take on the trend. Their new sneakers offer a retro-feel, similar to the Puma Palermos or Onitsuka Tiger Mexico 66s, but are a steal at only £35.99. Or, if you were a fan of the Adidas X Wales Bonner collab, look to Stradivarius’ silver pair – but be quick they’re selling out! A floaty piece will elevate your staple casual footwear, although we love the athleisure-smart look too. If that’s your thing, Stradivarius is proving sports can be chic, with simple all-in-ones and embroidered vintage-style caps, because running errands deserves a good ‘fit too.

Still not sold? For the ‘Ganni girls’ and Damson Madder lovers, Stradivarius has leopard print aplenty this season – from jeans, to slip skirts and dresses. And they’ll pair perfectly with a tie-detailing top, or linen-blend waistcoat. The brave might even clash prints, adding some stripes into the mix too.
Top line? There’s something for everyone this season. Whether you want to make like Miu Miu in boxer shorts, or emulate your social media feed in leopard print and statement trainers. Whatever trend you’re coveting, Stradivarius is worth browsing for summer style, stat.
